April 10, 2019

McMaster University hosts on ongoing series named CafeX, a public discussion about a big topic of interest to engineering and engineering education. This week, award winning journalist with Jennifer Lewington will interview Learning Machine CTO, Kim Duffy and other experts from McMaster University on how technologies such as blockchain-secured credentials are changing the face of higher education.

Further, the panel will cover the pilot project run by McMaster University’s Faculty of Engineering in cooperation with the University’s Office of the Registrar to offer credentials using blockchain for its MacChangers program this April, as well as offering Canada’s first digital degrees this June to engineering students.
